Tier 1 Investor Visa
Applicant’s for an Investor Visa must first have access to at least £2 million. This is an option for investors looking for residency in the UK via visa. This involves a £2 million investment and grants the investor and their immediate family temporary residency in the UK. This residency is for three years and four months, with the option to apply for an extension for another two years. After 5 years, investors can seek for indefinite right to remain, and after 6 years, settlement. There is no direct citizenship by investment programme in the United Kingdom.

The Investment Account
The second condition of the visa is that you must have opened a UK investment account with a bank or investment firm authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Before you apply, the account must be registered, and the bank or investment firm must acknowledge in writing that they have done so after doing accurate and relevant background checks as required by their FCA rule.
How to Apply for the Investor Visa
When applying, you must include the necessary papers to back up your claim. Failure to do so could lead to your application being rejected right away, wasting valuable time. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) may contact you to request your identification features once your application has been submitted. This can be accomplished at a Visa Application Centre in your country. The result will be with you in about three weeks.
