Naturalisation is the final and most significant step in the process of becoming a British citizen and obtaining a British passport. At B&F, our experienced Naturalisation team in London will project manage your whole application at B&F. This is not the same as applying for a British passport but it is the first step.
Several conditions must be met to apply for Naturalisation. This is a key step in the process of obtaining a British passport, and there are a few requirements to fulfil. Completing a Naturalisation application may seem like a difficult process, however our team of experts are here to help you meet the requirements listed:
How long does it take?
After living in the UK for at least 5 years and having held Indefinite Leave to Remain for at least 12 months, British nationality can be achieved (6 years in total). If you are married to a British citizen, though, you will not have to wait the additional 12 months. Within 6 months mark, you should get a verdict on whether your Naturalization application has been granted; however, some applications may take longer.
The current charge for processing Naturalization applications in the United Kingdom is £1,330. In addition, applicants will be charged £19.20 to have their data taken as part of the application process. All fees related to B&F are separate to find out more contact us on 02036376137.
