To apply for British citizenship you should have some conditions:

  1. ​​You should be 18 or over
  2. You should be mentally healthy (can make your own decision)
  3. You should continue to live in the UK
  4. You should be able to communicate in English, Welsh or Scottish
  5. You must also have lived in the UK for at least 5 years before the date of your application
  6. You should not spend more than 450 days outside the UK during those 5 years
  7. You should not spend more than 90 days outside the UK in last 12 months
  8. You should not break any migration laws while in the UK​
